It was a pleasant experience. It was much easier to remove than other firmer cups. I'm sooo happy I did my research and bought this one. I think it's perfect for a first timer. Super easy to insert as well, no issues with the cup not opening the whole way. I love that I have 2 sizes to switch between on my lighter days and heavier days.

First of all, the PACKAGING! It brought me a lot of joy to unbox because of how cute the packaging was, and because of the many little well-designed pamphlets, pouches etc. I admit it was a little intimidating initially when I saw the menstrual cups. Since I’m a virgin and I’ve been living my life using pads, I was pretty afraid of stuffing a whopping cup in me. Since I wasn’t used to it, the first few times using the cup was pretty messy and frustrating (and tbh slightly painful because I didn’t know what I was doing). I was spending more than 10min in the bathroom just trying to insert it and take it out, and I kept thinking things like “should I just go back to using a pad??? I won’t have to go through this trouble every time I get my period...” But I stuck with it, and by my 2nd cycle, I got so used to inserting and removing the cup that it took me only a minute doing so! I’m never going back to using a pad again! So yes, the learning curve is pretty steep, but stick with it and you won’t regret it! Some tips I have is that when removing the cup, clench your abdominal muscles like you would when you’re pooping. Do it a few times, and the bottom of the cup will be exposed for you to pinch easily :)) All the best!!

loving the saalt cup so far, i’ve used it for 2 cycles already. I have previously given birth and the S went a little too deep that I feel like it was too small so the regular size was perfect for me.

I've been using the Lunette 1 prior to this for 5 years now, and after convincing a friend to try converting to cups, she asked if I wanted to share this Saalt soft set (I took the smaller one as I have a light flow). The length, shape, and size are about the same as the Lunette 1 but it's softer hence it didn't open as easily as the Lunette 1. However, I got used to it and after 1 cycle, I'm pleased to report that it opens as quickly for me now, the trick is to not have such a tight fold when using the punch down method, if not I sometimes use the half diamond fold. Bonus is the colours of the Saalt cups are so pretty!!!

Take awhile to get used to put it in but it’s soft. Great to have a duo ; small cup for lighter days
